To speak in Public is not Necessarily a Source of Stress

Often it is thought, erroneously, that determined aspects of our existence they represent a stress source necessarily, nearly for definition. The job is stressful, to speak in public is stressful, to manage many engagements is stressful, etc. But the things, in reality, are various.

For being able to be in a position to managing in effective way every it upgrades them stress cause, is in the first place of fundamental importance to comprise that our existence, considered in all its factors, included speaking in public, does not have to be conceived like a necessary series of potentially stressful events.

The more or less significance effect that the truth produces on we depends exclusively from the perception that everyone of we has of the events who happen around oneself and from the way in which us relational, from the attitude with it faces which them.

Thousands of persons before we have been in degree, to little ones pass, to gain their deep fear to speak in public, till to succeed to completely face any type of platea with extreme effectiveness and ability, eliminating anxiety, stress and tension. Many of these persons initially were terrorize to the idea to take the word in public. Theirs shook, their voice were uncertain, their thoughts are confused… nevertheless they are resolutions to exceed their fears completely.

You are a human being exactly like they and have all the potentialities in order to obtain the same result, also you can learn like to a platea without fears. This that is necessary is the just knowledge and to hold to mind some principles key.

Public Speaking Without Fear [1]

According to a surveying statistics, the main fear of the contemporary man is that to speak in public. Al according to place we find the fear of the dead women. It could some be deduced that in occasion of a funeral, many would prefer to be in the coffin rather than to remember in public the defunct one. Nearly funny, isn’t it? All beyond the struck one, if this statistics reflects the truth indeed, the consideration precedence therefore is logically corrected, for how many sounds evidently ridicule.
What of is mistaken in all this? Many persons indeed would prefer to be dead women rather than to have to speak in public? The truth is that, like many other phobia, also the terror to hold a speech in public is attenuated in meaningful way as it is faced openly. The main complication, with regard to, is given from the fact that the majority of the persons thus refuses in way the perspective to take the word not succeeding to make it from being able never enough to catch up an acceptable level of emergency. For more, not existing an adapted scholastic preparation in merit, one very frequently arrives by now adults to the first impact with the public: the feeling that test, often unavoidable, is that to feel knots, exposed to the critical look of the present ones. He is sufficient to watch us around in order to render account as to speak us in public or a source of stress incredibly diffused.
Many persons, of it had the choice, would make some less completely, but in the daily life this is difficult, often impossible. Every one of we, to a point of own existence, will have however the necessity of having to face a public, immense or reduced that or, for the most reasons: an encounter of job, a formal speech, a reunion, and thus via. But, to the tempo, the good news is that everyone of us has also all the abilities and the potentialities, more or less latent, in order to raise themselves in feet and to communicate own ideas with emergency and effectiveness of forehead to an audience. In bottom, the ability to communicate does not have some genetic foundation, but it answers to very precise rules that can be acquired and applied.
Here, therefore, that it is worth the pain sure making a small effort, for less to the beginnings, to face to open ace our fear and to try to exceed it completely, in order to make yes that to speak in public it does not only represent more an obsession, but it becomes more rather a pleasure, a passion and a source of divertimento. In bottom, to learn to face a ‘platea’ is an extraordinary method in order to exceed the shyness and to instill courage and confidence in same we: this because speaking in public we are forced to face our fears and the overcoming of this phobia reflects positively on all this that we make.

Public Speaking | Men and Women Audiences are Different

There is nothing I like better than an all female public speaking. All female audiences tend to laugh easily and louder than all male audiences. All-man audience are the strongest, because the male ego is replaced by the kind of laughter. You look around to see if someone else laughs, before they laugh, and won ‘it, t-laugh as loud because they think it looks less capable.

If you talk to an audience All-man, it is critical “to pledge and to be, one of the guys” especially if you are a female speaker. I ‘m that is not sexist here. I don ‘t believe in sexist language. I ‘m just that give you the idea to keep in mind if you are a female speaker and you want to be successful speech before a general audience All-man. You have to realize: not all men out there are in the business world as sensitive as I am (send me in the care of my publisher all big hugs). If your All-man audience of a public audience does not consist of the same company or field,  stick to sports, business, and money to best connect with them.

One of the hardest audiences to deal with is a group of executives from the same company if the CEO is present. If you say something funny to start the executives to laugh, but they choke away until they check to see if the CEO laughs. If he or she laughs, then they go ahead and laugh around. This type of audience timing caused nightmares for you. If you are the CEO and you are in the audience for a presentation, it is your obligation to laugh like you and to act at least, Re, a good time to “wealthy and you give permission” to laugh at everyone else. As a good public speaker, you can sometimes take it upon themselves to explain to the CEO easy as everyone is looking to him for approval.

Audience consisting of women of more than 50 percent, are good as well. The presence of women provides a good buffer and makes it OK to laugh at the men, as so many other people laugh.

There are speakers who like to speak with a large audience and they want to eat from the energy in the room. Speaking in public is becoming the most avoided thing for a lot of people. The reason, fear of embarrassing or nervous. The more important the speech material, the more the entire body goes shaking.
Here are some tips, to overcome stage nervous and critical speech  you convey can proceed smoothly.

Do not make a speech too long and long-winded, because it will make the listener feel bored. Adjust the duration of a speech to the context of the problem.

Listeners will catch one or two of all the ideas you submit. Not ten or twenty. If you can not express it in one of two simple sentences and easy to understand, the speech will be out of focus.
3. BE REALISTIC.
You are asked to make a speech because it has experience not possessed by the listener. Share experience, and make them feel what you feel.

In the first minute speech, Establish a relationship with listeners. Do interactions. Smile or node to the moderator. Wait, do not start the speech, until you get everyone’s attention. Then, do eye contact, dispersive views with confidence to the left, right, and center of the room.
5. Speak up, NOT READ.
If you talk, it would be much more communicative and ‘live’ rather than read scripts / script. It is better to use smaller notes to help remember what you have to say.
6. RELAX.
Do not be too often take a deep breath or breathing too fast. Remember, your audience can see the tension. And this can reduce the focus of your speech delivery. Be relaxed, and breathe naturally, so that you remain in peace. Position yourself you’re talking with your peers, not on the audience.
7. ENOUGH REST, EAT ENOUGH.
Rest enough, no need to stay up. Eat enough to avoid the rising levels of stomach acid that can be triggered by stress levels.
8. GOOD APPEARANCE.

Each person should know about the rhetorical skills as necessary for the integral development of individuals and organizations for which the person works. Whenever we talk about a person, is his ability to speak, the first impression of the speaker is. public speaking skills are often ignored by people they do not know what their effects are in their daily lives. Some people do not even bother to speak in the same way in public, as they say at home. You do not know that she is spoken tone that is a lot of things for people. you do not know what the impact of the sound they use in public spaces.

Many people believe that such abilities of people with a certain profile are not necessary. If you think that public speaking skills for the person who is in sales or marketing field, are completely wrong. It is true that sales and marketing people must have the rhetorical skills, as it takes for people with different backgrounds as well. This is because if a person wants to impress someone, he should speak well in public, because nobody else will have to take it seriously.

There are many examples that demonstrate public speaking skills are important in everyday life. For example, suppose a person for an interview, well dressed and fully prepared am. Sits at the very decent interviewer, the interviewer was impressed by his look. But what happened later, when asked to respond to each question, he does not. At the moment he opens his mouth and starts to speak, his idea is gone and he has failed. What is the reason? Everything was in favor of the person but to no avail. Why? It’s all because of not using public speaking. You should know that it as a way to appeal to different types of people and if you like all people as one can not advance in life.

There is a difference when you talk to your friend and if you become a professional interview. Talking to a professional or your customer has to be very decent and polite. This will help implement good influence on the person.

worlds largest companies consider this important factor and has now become much more essential to have several rounds of voice and accent, if you go for the interview. Public Speaking is not Easy

Public speaking is not easy. Requires well defined objectives, to be clear, concise, organized and know what our target audience. We put a cap on our exposure, not too long to not “tired” to listeners. You should not say more than about 150 to 175 words per minute, so that people can follow your dissertation properly. Nor say less, so that people do not get distracted or lose interest in the subject.

    1. The addressees.

Who will be our audience: students, professionals, entrepreneurs ... will help us focus our discussion properly.
    2. Organization.

Exposing an organized manner all the issues we can make it easier to follow the “thread” of our conversation.
    3. Extension.

Expose only the fundamentals of the subject. Do not want to extend to exhaust the subject. The public would end up getting tired and losing their attention.
    4. Objectives.

We realize how good and defined the objectives of the talk, lecture or conference. We must “be clear” what is the message we convey to our audience, without repeating in endless words that we do not lead to any clear conclusion.
    5. Aid.

Tell your side with all kinds of aids that make understanding of the exhibition is making: projectors, computers, slides, graphics and any documents that may provide listeners. However, without abusing them, completely marginalizing the speaker.

At the time of speaking must not forget these key points:

    1. Place the microphone at the right height and make sure that the sound reaches the room.

    2. Organize the introduction, development and conclusion of the talk.

    3. Do not abuse the gestures and body language.

    4. As far as possible, interact with the audience, to make it more enjoyable.

    5. Talk as if addressing only one person.

    6. If you are delayed, summarize unimportant parts.

    7. Avoid distractions: noise, mobile, music and more.

One of the most popular models for correct exposure is spoken SPAM model. This gives us 4 basic points:

    1. Situation

Consider the time and place at which to hold the event.
    2. Purpose.

The goals that he hoped to get on with his talk.
    3. Hearing.

A person is destined to our conversation.
    4. Method.

What method we use to our conversation.

The method used is of great importance for the success of the talk. We have main methods:

    1. Informative.

What is presented is new to the audience, and outlines a clear and precise so that the information presented is useful to the audience.
    2. Persuasive.

He tries to explain characteristics of a product or service, to convince the convenience of it.
    3. Entertainment.

The occasion of the exhibition tends to have a purpose of entertainment.

Apart from the method chosen for your conference, lecture or exhibition, should consider certain points to any kind of talk:

    1. Be brief in the acknowledgments and awards prior to the talk.

    2. Keep your head high and look to the front and the audience, whenever we can.

    3. Caring for your voice. Use an appropriate tone, a vocal correct and adequate volume.
The best we can do before a “performance” in public is to practice.
    1. Read his paper on high several times to listen. And even burn it, and listen or have someone with you to opine.
    2. Use your body language and gestures, as if before the public. It is best practice in front of a mirror.

Avoid Unecessary Movement in Public Speaking

Have you ever been to a speech where the speakers bounced around the stage in a completely artificial? Or when he diverted a nervous breakdown tick, listening to music, his words?

However, while most people!

How can you be sure you are not making a fool of yourself with your actions? In this article I will give you seven tips to avoid unnecessary movements. Of course, one of the big problems is what is the identification and unnecessary or excessive exercise. For our purposes, unnecessary movement, as any movement or distracted to identify irritates the audience.

1. Te, in their movements. The first step in the correction should be aware of all the errors. This applies to public discourse as much as anything else. There are many ways for your movements. Video recording is a method that works well. Having a support group of people critical of his performance is another.

2. Analyze your mistakes. Once you know what to do with movement, it is time to assess which are counterproductive. To determine that irritate your audience. While you can use a video recorder and do the analysis itself is a support group offers a balanced view of their movements.

3. Manage large movements. One of the mistakes you can ask are, is speed. That is, start walking back and forth across the stage. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you can return to another, show your audience with energy and passion. Or it may indicate nervousness. Here, a support group is invaluable. If necessary, you can reduce your speed through the identification of a brand. Your character is a place on the stage where it is. Traditionally, with a white ribbon as a mark X, it aims to be on the mark with your presentation. One technique is to establish a generous six-foot circle of white plastic tape or chalk. His goal is to stay within the circle. Chalk works well, because the row is deleted when the cross.

4. Manage gestures. The following error you need to check the gesture is too far. This is often the result of doing your gestures rather than allowed to occur naturally. There are several ways to avoid excessive movement. Keeping your hands in front of or behind the back is a method that is fairly common. In their hands in their pockets or under your hand. The key is to avoid this, a bad habit replaced by an even poorer.

5. Manage nervous ticks. We have all the movements we make when we’re nervous. Maybe it’s a case of scratches. Or roll your neck. Or sneeze. O wrinkling his face. These ticks are tiny one irritant reactions to a speaker. A support group can be helpful in identifying both the ticks and also a technique for him to solve.

6. Ask to speak at the water cooler. We’ve all talked about so far is a speaker to do things, does not operate normally. Why? For nervous. One of the best ways of eliminating nervous habits is to simply remove the nervousness. One way to do this is to ask yourself in a conversation with a friend at the water cooler. Submit your address to that friend, as if reading.

7. Practice, practice, practice. Well, let’s get serious here. The only way is to eliminate unnecessary movements, habits, stop creating unnecessary movement. And that requires forward motion.

Simple Techniques of Public Speaking

    1. Situation.

The best we can do before a “performance” in public is to practice.

    2. Use your body language and gestures, as if before the public. It is best practice in front of a mirror.
    3. Try to memorize key parts of the text, to avoid a continuous reading of it and stay too long with his head down - head down.

Public speaking, Speeches: Types. Intervention order

Let us distinguish the relative, who is a speech by “saying” words. We say this for the difference, in our view, to conduct an extensive or minimal to say “four” little words, but also for words. We can distinguish two main types of speech:

    1. Presented in the food and banquets of any kind.

    2. Spoken in other actions or activities of the most diverse nature.

When a visit by a Head of State or other characters (either the policy or the world of sports, entertainment, etc.) usually serve lunch or dinner in his honor. And it is normal to make a brief speech at the end of it (usually at the end of the dessert.) The development of this discourse, greet and welcome guests of honor (by host) and then the guest of honor to say a few words about the reason for the visit and thanked give relevant.

It is customary in such actions are necessary to make a toast to the guest of honor and good progress, state institutions or companies. It is common practice to know in advance the text of both of the hosts and guests to ensure consistency. As a general rule: speech should be short, clear and easily understood by the audience. If a foreign guest will say something more than “the word” shall have the translator system has the same printed in languages other guests. It is also possible to choose a common language that everyone understands (usually English).

Another similar event is a tribute to a particular person or company (to receive an award or distinction, or for other reasons, such as a pension). Development tends to follow these steps:

    1. Organizers, briefly explain the reasons and present tribute to those who will talk about the honoree.

    2. Speakers talk presented (friends, employers or relatives).

    3. This tribute, thank you all for the act.

So far we have seen the speech “expected”, but what happens when we asked to speak without planned.

Some tips:

    1. Do not try to do in a language that does not dominate.

    2. Do not try to mention all the people, you can always forget someone might be angry. Limit the guest of honor or host.

    3. We start (start is a salute to the present), but we must finish. Beware of overextending and beat even less about the bush. Be brief.

    4. By the way, if you go to an event where you can find this unexpected, it’s worth a few words into the target.

    5. We have previously commented on the bread (very common at lunch and dinner). Actually, the speech of bread, just thank you, so do not spread. When providing glasses do not collide, as we think, just until the glasses (at eye level), you see all the gifts and drinks (or make a drinking motion, if abstemious.) Ever do chin - the chin with glasses, or say anything What cheers lucky, or similar. Do not equipped with water, always with wine or champagne, and as we said, if you do not like or do not drink, made a motion only.

There are other actions that do not eat lunch or dinner, where speeches are given, which may be single or double. The only thing, is when the host and guest of honor speaks to respond. some is when some people talk, like in an academic ceremony, opening, etc. The sequence then speak clearly: less important. Talk to the little people first finish talking about the most important. Each speaker presents and give turn to the person then would intervene.

To attract attention, whether it is food, not to make noise with the spoon in the cup. Cough in the microphone or just give press as if tasting work.

Avoid, unless it is a very good speaker, spoken discourse, and against the statement read. It is more secure and will not betray the memory.

If it is the last to speak, try to be brief and entertaining than the rest. The audience is tired and distracted at first, and much has been said.

Simple Guidlines of Public Speaking Fears

If we all agree something is the fear we feel the majority go to the public. All studies point to the same effect: we are afraid of ridicule, and in almost everywhere we are very afraid of ridicule. The best way to overcome is the practice, and think that we are leading a group of friends. We are not all great orators, but we can be a pleasant and effective speakers, if we get our message in a friendly, clear and effective.

To achieve our goal, here are some basic guidelines to consider:

     1. We know when to start and when finish, and even improvise. If we see that the public is very boring, we can try to shorten the speech.

     2. What we mean and transmit. It should be clear the goal of discourse and its key points for getting the message correctly and that is understandable by the public.

     3. How to deliver. We must “interpret” the paper so convincing that the public receives and creates the message. One must know how to capture their attention and keep it.

One way to improve our public discourse or action, is to practice. Front of the mirror, recording on a tape and listening, with friends who can make critical, etc. But we must not forget the main protagonist: the voice. We must protect the pitch (module and direct His voice), tone (light and relaxed), volume (or low, you can not hear anything, not screaming, scaring the public), rhythm (do not talk very slow, or quick and eager to finish as soon as possible) and vocalization (pronounce correctly, you will understand better.) Avoid pauses, stutters, repetitions, hesitations and lengthening of words

If now the audience to examine the agreement, you may wonder how exactly what you all know in due course in order to attract with his speech. It does not seem an impossible task. That’s for sure! However, it can happen, and I’ll tell you how. You can make your audience by himself, “what it is, this audience needs and desires?” In fact, all that is best to ask that question before you get in front of your audience. You should ask this question, as they are preparing your speech. In general, two types of people to provide the information you want to hear:

1. The first type of person to take in the speech to find the information you need to move for one reason or another.

2. The second type of person is the information that you are taking, if one wants to talk.

In his speech, it is important the content that belongs to the search for specific information they need to appeal, and only interested in hearing what you say. to share in the presentation of the required information is important to know and understand that the content of your message should be delivered on optimism, so that your audience is really interested. It is always important to remember that sometimes, as you say something that will have a greater impact than, say what they say.

The next thing to consider when it comes to public should talk about is that your audience already knows. If you describe the facts and figures that everyone already knew, then it is quite possible that you really have the attention of those who listen to their presentation to lose. Many speakers’ presentations successfully, the preparation includes an appointment or a summary of the information in the main part of the speech will be discussed. Thus, if someone already knows what happens when it comes to information that you have the opportunity to not have the presentations. This could be a very successful when it comes to keeping your audience.

Now the next thing you should take into account the level of understanding your audience when it comes to the issue we are talking about is. It is true that they may have knowledge of it, but what you really understand? If not, you have to work to improve the level of understanding. If you do not understand the level of understanding, it is very likely that you will not win as a spectator. However, if the issue can be covered in a way that the public know and understand what we are talking about is likely to attract the attention of the audience.
